Role: CMO Sales
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Customer Engagement & Solution Selling
- Understand customer applications, processes, and technical challenges.
- Recommend appropriate products/solutions based on technical fit and performance.
- Conduct technical discussions, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Support customers in trials, evaluations, and product optimization.
2. Sales & Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and target accounts.
- Prepare and present techno-commercial proposals.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply terms within defined authority.
- Achieve assigned sales targets (volume, revenue, margin).
3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
- Assist customers with product selection, usage guidelines, and problem resolution.
- Coordinate with R&D, production, and quality teams for issue resolution.
4. Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback.
- Share insights with internal teams to support product improvement and innovation.
- Identify unmet customer needs and application gaps.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the interface between customers and internal teams (R&D, QA, Supply Chain).
- Support new product introductions and technical transfers at customer sites.
- Ensure smooth order execution and timely communication.
6. Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and proactively.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain sales forecasts, CRM updates, and activity reports.
- Document customer requirements, trial results, and technical feedback.
Required Qualification
1. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Science / Technology (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Biotechnology, Chemistry, etc.)
- MBA or PG Diploma in Marketing / Sales – preferred but not mandatory.
2. Experience
- 8-14 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
- Experience in B2B / industrial / specialty chemicals / engineering products is highly desirable.

- Clear verbal and written communication.
- Ability to present complex technical concepts simply.
- Confident interaction with customers, from operators to senior management.

- Willingness to travel and work in field-based roles.
- Sales or marketing certifications.
