About Scimplify

Scimplify is a high-growth, VC-backed advanced materials and specialty chemicals company solving one of manufacturing's toughest problems: scaling complex chemistry from lab to production at cost. We work with 500+ partner factories globally to deliver end-to-end custom synthesis and advanced route scouting for defense, aerospace, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals. With 450+ team members and presence across USA, India, Japan, UAE, and Indonesia, we export to 35+ countries—proving that deep chemistry expertise and operational excellence can be built once and deployed globally.

The Role

Scimplify is taking its integrated manufacturing program live across new countries—each a supply frontier requiring technical validation and commercial structuring. Your mission: own the supply-side opportunity in an assigned geography.
You'll be India-based but work as the technical and commercial anchor for one new country(e.g., Vietnam, Malaysia, or Mexico). You'll evaluate whether factories can make our chemistry, at our quality, at our cost. Then you'll model the economics and structure the deal. In-country, you'll partner with our regional BD managers to onboard suppliers, solve production problems in real-time, and make fast go/no-go decisions that others depend on.

This is where R&D meets supply chain.You're not an admin—you're a decision-maker. Location: India-based (Bangalore/Mumbai)
Travel: 30-40% to assigned country for factory visits, in-country BD alignment, and deal closure

What Success Looks Like (Year 1)

  • Evaluate and qualify 30-50 manufacturing partners in your assigned geography
  • Onboard new factories into active pipeline
  • Model economics for new product-geography combinations
  • Build and document your region's supply development playbook (so the next country goes faster)
  • Become the go-to technical reference for your region—R&D and BD teams trust your decision-making on feasibility, timing, and risk
  • Drive speed:take complex factory evaluations from "unknown" to "go/no-go decision" in 30-45 days

Key Responsibilities

Factory Technical Evaluation: Assess global manufacturing capabilities—equipment, processes, purity standards, batch sizes, regulatory compliance. Translate those capabilities into feasibility decisions.

Commercial Structuring: Convert chemistry requirements into pricing models, contract terms, supply agreements, and economics. Own the structure—from LOI to signed manufacturing agreement.

Regional Technical Leadership: Bethe India-based backbone for your country's supply growth. Answer product questions for BD teams. Solve production problems. Make the calls on whether partnerships are viable.

Playbook & Knowledge: Document what works in your region—factory benchmarks, process clusters, go-to-market playbooks. Make the next region faster than the last.

Requirements

Must-Have:
  • B.Sc./B.Tech. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (M.Sc./MBA is a plus)
  • 8+ years in technical sales, technical business development, procurement/sourcing, or applications development
  • Hands-on experience evaluating manufacturing or supply partners (quality, capability, cost modeling)
  • Strong commercial acumen: understand pricing models, margin analysis, supply chain costs, contract terms
  • Self-driven and comfortable with ambiguity—you thrive when scope is undefined and you have to figure out
Nice-to-Have:
  • Prior experience opening a new market or country for your company
  • Existing relationships with manufacturers in SE Asia, Middle East,or emerging markets
  • Exposure to job work, toll manufacturing, or contract manufacturing models
  • Prior experience in VC-backed or fast-growth B2B companies
Compensation &Benefits

Compensation: Best in market compensation along with variable pay and ESOPs tied to impact created.
Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for you and family
Remote-Work Flexibility: Work from India with regular travel to your assigned country
Why This Role,Why Now?

We're profitable and well-funded. We've proven the chemistry work sat scale. Now comes the harder part: replicating supply-side success across5-6 new countries in the next 2 years. The decisions you make—which factories to bet on, which partnerships to structure, which regions to double down on—will define Scimplify's manufacturing footprint for the next 5 years.
This isn'ta support role. You're a founder-level operator building supply infrastructure in countries where we have no presence yet. High ambiguity, real impact, genuine autonomy.
If you've spent your career translating chemistry into commercial reality, this is your moment.
