The Manager I, Hyderabad Hub Finance for BMS will be a highly collaborative Finance business partner. This exceptional team member will perform Finance & Tax activities for the market in BMS’s Hyderabad Hub and demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Deep understanding of the business landscape, market trends, and industry dynamics in the market
  • Up to date with the local tax related compliances and latest updates
  • Outstanding ability to forge strong partnerships with fellow Hub team members and cross-functional hub colleagues to provide high quality services in a timely fashion
  • Open communication and cooperation to ensure the FP&A Hub in Hyderabad remains an integral part of the Finance teams, aligned to broader vision and strategy, and contributes to the overall success of the Finance function and BMS

Successful candidates will possess excellent analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years of experience (incl. articleship) is required.

The position will be based in the BMS’s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person).

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:

Tax activities 

  • Ownership of tax related (Direct & Indirect) periodical compliances in liaison with Tax CoE
  • Review of vendor TDS/WHT deductions and support relevant site stakeholders during new vendor onboarding
  • Management of advance tax analysis and workings and liaising with Tax COE to facilitate timely tax remittances
  • Coordination and ownership of the tax audit from a site level

  • Support Tax CoE on Transfer Pricing Audit
  • Support Finance & Tax CoE teams on statutory, internal and transfer pricing audits with tax workings for the site
  • Regular monitoring of Income Tax notices and liaising with relevant teams to submit responses to the IT department
  • Review of workings and submissions on internal tax reporting tool prior to FD approval
  • Assist Company Secretary on MCA and other secretarial compliances
  • Ownership of any other tax related topics and handling ad-hoc requests as and when required
  • Relationship management and teaming 

  • Interacts with other Hub Finance team members
  • Interacts with the Tax CoE team across entities to ensure smooth functioning of the process
  • Interacts with other functions operating out of the Hyderabad hub as their tax partner
  • Serves as an inspirational and engaging team member who motivates and engages through clear execution of Finance priorities for the hub
  • Shares leading practices and learning with other regional sub-tower teams
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with Site Finance Lead & Country Controller – Hyderabad, Senior Director, FP&A CoE Lead and Finance Director – Hyderabad, and other Hyderabad service delivery teams
  • Holds self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy 
  • Risk management 

  • Articulates material risks and opportunities and takes an active role supporting Hyderabad hub leads in designing and executing response or contingency plans
