Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Design, architect, and deliver complex Azure infrastructure and platform solutions ensuring security, compliance, and governance best practices are consistently applied.
Champion automation-first approaches through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines.
Drive adoption of modern DevOps and GitOps practices, enabling seamless deployments and platform consistency across environments.
Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
Establish and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for build, release, and infrastructure deployments.
Define and implement cloud governance, cost optimization, RBAC policies, and compliance controls at enterprise scale.
Oversee Kubernetes / ARO platforms, containers, registries, and related services to enable modern application hosting.
Guide teams in the use of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as Jira/Confluence.
Support development teams with scripting, APIs, and automation to accelerate delivery.
Promote knowledge sharing, provide mentorship, and drive cloud community of practice within M&G.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification :
Knowledge & Skills:
Required
Strong leadership in Azure IaaS and PaaS (VMs, Networking, Storage, SQL DB, App Services, Monitoring).
Expertise in CI/CD with Azure DevOps and pipeline automation.
Hands-on with Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible and PowerShell scripting.
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, ARO, Helm).
Proven ability to design and enforce Azure governance & RBAC models.
Working knowledge of network security concepts (Firewalls, NSGs, Palo Alto preferred).
Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in Agile/DevOps environments and resolve complex problems.
Desired
Experience in Linux/Windows OS administration.
Proficiency with Bash or advanced PowerShell scripting for automation.
Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud integration.
Knowledge of enterprise platforms (Apigee, OpenShift, JFrog Artifactory).
Programming experience in Python or JavaScript.
Hands-on with application monitoring and APM suites.
Exposure to Power Platform and Power BI.
Familiarity with FinOps practices for cloud cost governance.
Leverage AI tools wherever appropriate to improve productivity
Proficient in monitoring tools such as SonarQube and ELK/Kibana.
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience as a cloud engineer who can showcase working independently and along with the team.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate/Masters in any discipline
Cloud certifications would be an added advantage
