Job Description

MISSION :

  • Lead the development of new and existing corporate partnerships which are complex and high in value.
  • Identity and work on Bancassurance distribution channel
  • Expand and develop new relationships with financial institutions and factoring companies
  •  
  • Identify sales opportunities from existing and new key distribution channels (Boker/ Agent) to ensure that the sales potential is fully exploited to achieve annual sales targets.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business development:

  • Maximise each partnership opportunity by developing multi-year sustainable partnerships.
  • Research and identify new products, prioritize the feasible opportunities and implement with the partners.
  • Manage the relationship with partners in order to keep their interest in maintaining active sales of Coface products.
  • Prospect for potential new key clients to maximize revenue for the India
  • Demonstrate products and services to potential key customers and assist them in selecting those best suited for their needs.
  • Establish relationships and work with strategic and operational stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular forecasts to enable effective sales planning.
  • Ensure that the sales potential is fully exploited to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Train and motivate Coface sales teams in order to make them aware of partnerships and what is expected by the partners and by Coface in order to make the partnership efficient and profitable

Negotiation, follow-up, reporting:

  • Act as the first point of contact for current and potential partners.
  • Support/Lead the commercial negotiation with prospects and partners up to the signature of contractual documents.
  • Follow up of sales development through each partnership: number of sales, new premium, cancellation, etc.

Market monitoring:

  • Conduct research to identify market trends, sales and other developments amongst competitors and report back to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Suggest improvements or modifications required to existing products to maintain their competitiveness in the market.
  • Create and implement new strategies, tools and processes that will positively benefit the team and income.

Communication:

  • Establish and maintain communication links with other internal departments to identify all sales opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain and lever strong relationships with partners/ intermediaries in order to increase the number of prospects.
  • Participate in external events organized within India representing the company in the best light for building new business contacts.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Support Functions to achieve the highest efficiency of the sales process by following group offering procedures with special care for precise targeting, well-tailored offers and cost control

Risk & Compliance:

  • Ensure prudent Commercial Underwriting of Credit Insurance Business, adhering to Group Standards.
  • Take joint ownership of the loss ratio on the portfolio with the Risk department and deliver a profitable result to the business.
  • Adhere to compliance standards set by Coface and external regulators.
     

Additional information with regards to the main responsibilities :

  • Manage and maintain Broker / Intermediary relationships to ensure Profitable growth of business.
  • Assist with Large Key account management to ensure customer satisfaction Develop FI business and achieve Country targets

Industry:

  • Credit insurance
  • A clear understanding of current economic climate and how it affects the market

Functional:

  • Factoring or Finance
  • Contract management - in depth familiarity and knowledge of various contract structures in order to know how best to negotiate between price and risk

Coface specific:

  • Coface's portfolio of products 
  • Coface commercial tools

IT:

  • Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel

Qualifications

  • Degree educated in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of sales/ business development ideally within a credit insurance organization.
  • Experience in multicultural/international corporate environment is plus
