Manage, maintain, and support Linux server environments including installation, configuration, performance monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, security updates, automation via scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with development and network teams.
you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of our Linux-based server environments. This role requires expertise in configuring and troubleshooting system issues, ensuring high availability and performance, and implementing best practices for security and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on physical and virtual servers.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server configurations for maximum efficiency.
- Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery, and security updates.
- Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Collaborate with development and network teams to ensure the seamless deployment and integration of applications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT staff regarding Linux systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Stay updated with the latest Linux technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Experience with server management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
