Oversee architecture for CDP solutions, guide teams, ensure compliance with data standards, evaluate technologies, and manage customer journey orchestration.
The purpose of this role is to create solution architectures for systems and platforms ensuring all relevant options are explored for time, cost and compliance to the company’s standards, policies and practices whilst meeting the business’ requirements. The role will oversee the work of other architects and delivery of the solution for clients both internal and external, shepherding it through the relevant governance.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities:- Lead enterprise architecture consulting engagements. Define strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business goals
- Lead technical design and implementation of CDP solutions across multiple platforms
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI-driven personalization, composable architectures). Represent organization in industry forums
- Define and enforce data architecture standards, schemas, and governance models
- Oversee ingestion pipelines (batch/streaming) and ensure data quality and integrity
- Guide development teams in building reusable components and scalable integrations
- Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to define audience strategies and activation logic
- Own the orchestration of customer journeys and personalization workflows
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure adherence to best practices
- Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance CDP capabilities
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to translate requirements into actionable solutions
- Troubleshoot complex issues across data flows, APIs, and activation channels
- Contribute to roadmap planning and continuous improvement of CDP infrastructure
- Proven experience architecting and leading CDP implementations (AEP, Treasure Data, Zeta, Tealium, etc.)AEP (RT-CDP, AJO, CJA, Workfront), Action IQ, Braze (CDP), Telium, Zeta, Treasure Data, Growth Loop, Hi-Touch, SFDC etc..
- Strong understanding of composable CDP architecture and data privacy principles
- Advanced data engineering skills including real-time and batch ingestion pipelines
- Expertise in API integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and event-driven architectures
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Node.js for scripting and automation
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies
- Strong understanding of identity resolution, audience segmentation, and activation workflows.
- CDP Expertise: Adobe Experience Platform (RTCDP, AJO), Treasure Data, Tealium, Hightouch
- Enterprise Architecture & Consulting: TOGAF or equivalent frameworks, Solution consulting and pre-sales experience
- Experience with Customer Journey Orchestration tools (AJO, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
- Familiarity with reverse ETL tools like Hightouch or Census
- Hands-on experience with data governance, consent management, and PII handling
- Knowledge of data formats and transformation (JSON, Parquet, Avro)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Client-facing experience with stakeholder management and solution presentations
- Exposure to CDP evaluation and vendor selection processes
- Bachelors in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science, Data , IT
- Graduate from other fields with good communication and analytical skills.
