The Lead-Research position involves building financial models, monitoring investment portfolios, and collaborating with a team on credit analysis while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.
Company Description
- Sutherland is seeking to fill a Credit Analyst. As a part of the Credit Research Team, you will work with a group of investment professionals to maintaining monitoring coverage on invested portfolio, while also collaborating with the larger Credit Research team.
- The team works as the virtual front-end analysts for clients, helping them find value in potential investment opportunities and thereafter, monitor the investment’s performance.
- Building and maintaining financial models, capturing Capital Structure, performing Covenant Analysis and other investment-related activities investments across sectors.
- Maintain portfolio coverage including model updates and earning summary write-ups, while maintaining regular news on the portfolio
- Comparing KPI’s Identifying discrepancies and resolving them.
- Working well under pressure – must be able to remain calm and focused while multitasking in a fast-paced, unstructured, and dynamic work environment.
- Team oriented/strong communication – must be able to work with people of diverse skills and personalities toward a common goal of effectively managing large portfolios.
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- CA Freshers / MBA Finance from Tier II or CFA Level 1+ With minimum 1-2 Years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of 3 – financial statements; credit metrics and ratios
- Preferred experience across Maintenance Coverage, Financial Modelling, Writing Financial Commentaries / Earning Summaries
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Quality focused with Attention to Details (ATD) and client service
- Proactive and team player
