NMDPL: Navbharat Mega Developers Pvt. Ltd. (NMDPL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed through a joint venture between the Government of Maharashtra and the Adani Group. It leads the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, aiming to transform one of Asia’s largest informal settlements into a modern urban hub with sustainable housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.
Job Purpose: The role is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction work in accordance with project-specific cost and schedule requirements. This role involves managing MEP contractors, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with design and safety standards.
ResponsibilitiesLead MEP Construction
Technical Management:
Provide technical advice to design staff, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors regarding installation and maintenance of MEP systems.
Analyze mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering problems and formulate effective solutions.
Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and general piping systems.
Project Documentation:
Review project documents, including tenders, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), material submittals, and shop drawings for compliance with design intent.
Draft and issue site/engineer’s instructions related to mechanical services as required.
Review and comment on contractor’s Operation and Maintenance manuals to ensure comprehensive documentation.
Inspection and Compliance:
Conduct project site observations and inspections to ensure adherence to approved shop drawings, specifications, and best practices.
Undertake final project snagging and prepare a list of defects for contractor rectification.
Review contractor installation method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Clearance and Approval:
Review contractor shop drawings against design documents and provide comments or approvals within specified contractual periods.
Assess contractors’ MEP material proposals against specified performance requirements and advise the Project Manager on their appropriateness.
Evaluate the technical qualifications of proposed subcontractors for engineering works.
Contractor Management:
Manage and lead MEP contractors throughout the project duration, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Supervise the execution of all MEP works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical installations, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Provide clear instructions to the team for executing jobs according to design specifications within designated timeframes.
Project Coordination:
Plan, organize, and evaluate the work of consultants and contractors to ensure adherence to project standards.
Advise the Project Manager or Head on any technical aspects of MEP services that may impact construction progress, including quality issues or potential snags.
Attend project meetings related to MEP services and report on progress as directed by the Project Manager.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Industry:
Experience in MEP management within the construction industry, with a preference for large-scale projects and experience in the real estate sector. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrification, and firefighting systems, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
