Leads credit risk governance and policy effectiveness for vehicle and equipment financing portfolios. Develops underwriting policies, evaluates exposures, monitors portfolio performance and risk indicators, defines guardrails, assesses scoring models, reviews exceptions and regulatory developments, and recommends mitigation actions. Partners with business, credit, collections, analytics, operations, technology, and compliance teams to implement policy changes and provide dashboards, reports, and recommendations to senior management and risk committees.
To drive risk governance and policy effectiveness through evaluation of risk exposures, emerging risks, portfolio performance and regulatory developments. The role requires significant professional judgment in influencing risk strategies, shaping policy enhancements, advising stakeholders and providing recommendations that strengthen risk management practices, protect the Bank from financial and operational losses, and support sustainable business growth.
- Develop, review, and enhance credit policies and operational guidelines for Wheels & Equipment financing products, including Commercial Vehicles, Construction Equipment, Auto Loans, and other relevant asset products.
- Evaluate credit risk exposures and recommend underwriting criteria, eligibility parameters, approval standards, and risk mitigation measures.
- Conduct risk assessments for new products, programs, sourcing channels, and business initiatives.
- Monitor portfolio performance across products, customer segments, geographies, sourcing channels, vintages, and risk categories.
- Track key indicators such as delinquency trends, portfolio quality, concentration risks, credit losses, and policy deviations.
- Define and monitor portfolio guardrails, risk appetite parameters, and early warning indicators.
- Analyze market, industry, competitor, and macroeconomic developments impacting vehicle and equipment financing portfolios.
- Evaluate and monitor internal and external credit scoring models and recommend enhancements based on portfolio performance.
- Conduct vintage and segment-level analysis to identify emerging risks and recommend corrective policy actions.
- Review policy exceptions, control weaknesses, compliance gaps, and adverse portfolio trends and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with Business, Credit, Collections, Analytics, Operations, Technology, and Compliance teams for policy implementation and portfolio risk management.
- Support development of portfolio MIS, risk dashboards, management reports, and presentations for senior management and Risk Committees.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure credit policies and risk frameworks are updated accordingly.
- Drive periodic policy reviews and ensure effective communication and implementation of approved policy changes across relevant stakeholders.
Experience: 8 to 12 years
Qualifications: Graduate/MBA / PGDM in Finance, Banking, or Risk Management/CA/CFA/FRM or relevant risk/credit certification would be an added advantage
