BCMS Manager Role Summary The Senior BCMS Coordinator/Manager is responsible for managing and enhancing the organization’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). This role independently drives Business Impact Analysis (BIA), continuity planning, testing, and audit readiness while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure operational resilience and compliance with ISO 22301 standards. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end BCMS activities across assigned business units by ensuring all components of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) framework are effectively implemented, maintained, and continuously improved in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements. This includes preparing Functional Recovery Plan , Risk Assessment and Business Impact Analysis. • Facilitate and conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) workshops by engaging with key stakeholders to identify critical business processes, assess potential impacts of disruptions, determine recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), and document dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies. • Lead the development, review, and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), manuals, and procedures to ensure they remain comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with business operations, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices. • Plan, design, and execute simulation exercises, including tabletop drills and call tree testing, to validate the effectiveness of BCPs, improve response readiness, and identify areas for enhancement through post-exercise reviews and corrective action tracking. • Monitor IT Disaster Recovery (DR) drills by coordinating with IT teams, tracking execution status, analyzing outcomes, identifying gaps, and ensuring timely closure of issues to strengthen IT resilience. • Support incident response and crisis management activities by coordinating with cross-functional teams, facilitating communication, ensuring adherence to escalation protocols, and enabling structured crisis handling during disruptions. • Ensure audit readiness across all in-scope business units by maintaining proper documentation, conducting periodic reviews, addressing compliance gaps, and aligning with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. • Prepare and present reports, risk dashboards, and stakeholder updates that provide clear visibility into BCMS performance, risk exposure, audit findings, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Representing BCMS in regulatory and non-regulatory audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors, facilitating discussions, providing required artifacts, and ensuring timely closure of all audit observations and identified gaps. • Deliver BCM training and awareness programs across the organization to build a culture of resilience, enhance employee preparedness, and ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities during disruptions. • Design and circulate a monthly BCMS newsletter/flyer to share updates, best practices, success stories, audit highlights, and awareness content to keep stakeholders engaged and informed. • Conduct risk assessments for business units by identifying potential threats, evaluating vulnerabilities, assessing impact severity, and recommending mitigation controls to enhance overall organizational resilience. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, IT, or related field. • Experience in BCM, Risk, or Operational Resilience. • Strong knowledge of ISO 22301 framework. • Experience in BIA, BCP development, and testing. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Certifications such as ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor. • Experience with GRC/BCM tools. • Exposure to regulated industries like BFSI or IT services.
