Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor a team of 5-6 backend engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code, adherence to best practices, and timely project completion.
- Participate actively in development using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS to build dependable and scalable backend systems.
- Efficiently manage PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases by implementing effective data storage and retrieval strategies.
- Have strong expertise in Elasticsearch.
- Use Neptune and Gremlin to handle complex data structures and their relationships.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards, and guarantee the delivery of high-quality software.
- Work closely with frontend teams, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals.
- Plan, track, and report project progress while managing resources effectively to meet deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript.
- Extensive background in system architecture and database design.
- Proven leadership skills in managing engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated success in scaling backend systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Previous experience in a comparable leadership position.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with Gremlin, Neptune, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, TypeScript, and BigQuery.
- Knowledge of AWS and its cloud services.
