Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Flint Assembly on a full-time basis.
The Role:
The Launch Industrial Engineer will work to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value. The position will develop, recommend, and implement changes which will result in the improvement of manufacturing processes and or product quality. The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment is critical to success in this role.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Develop, status, and analyze Manufacturing Master Schedules in sufficient detail to monitor progress, assess program status, and identify performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Use critical path methodology and application in network development, analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Optimize sequence of operations and workflow.
  • Create crew plans to ensure resources are properly allocated and utilized effectively.
  • Create metrics to monitor schedule progress and help identify risk areas.
  • Work to improve efficiencies through waste elimination and process improvements.
  • Perform data analysis to establish shop metrics and tackle complex problems.
  • Provide Technical support and assistance to manufacturing and maintenance team members, production supervisors and production associates.


Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 2 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed.
  • Ability to travel to Warren, MI as needed.


What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 3+ years of Industrial Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Vehicle launch experience.
