Java Backend Developer

Synechron is hiring a Java Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. This role supports business goals by delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing services.

• Java 8+
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC
• REST APIs
• Microservices knowledge
• MySQL, familiarity with MongoDB
• Git
• Maven or Gradle
• Basic Docker knowledge

• PostgreSQL, Redis
• Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Basic cloud exposure: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• JUnit, Mockito
• OAuth2, JWT
• Kubernetes

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and APIs
• Integrate with frontend systems and third-party services
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code
• Conduct code reviews and improve code quality
• Troubleshoot backend issues and optimize performance
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Collaborate with QA, product, and frontend teams

• 5+ years of Java backend development experience
• Experience building APIs and backend services
• Experience in microservices or service-based environments
• Equivalent practical experience may also be considered

• Develop backend features and APIs
• Maintain and improve existing services
• Review code and resolve issues
• Write tests and technical documentation
• Join stand-ups, sprint planning, and team collaboration sessions

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  or equivalent practical experience

• Relevant Java certifications

• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Clear communication and teamwork
• Ownership of assigned work
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Time management and attention to quality
