The Role
The Information Technology Analyst at Dow is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing and building objects to meet requirements, documenting designs, testing and implementing application objects, and assisting with issue resolution. Preferred skills include analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills, as well as knowledge of solution delivery methodologies and development tools such as Microsoft's software development stack, frontend web libraries/frameworks, and Azure Developer services. Experience with ServiceNow Configuration and Development is a plus.

About this role
DOW is Hiring Information Technology Analyst to Design,develops and supports solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Works in a business process, enabling, or implementation team, and applies general knowledge of Information Systems, which is typically developed through formal education.
In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.
It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities

  • Gathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas.

  • Works closely with business process teams, technical teams and other stakeholders to design and build objects which meet requirements.

  • Documents detailed designs.

  • Builds, tests and implements application objects.

  • Assists with issue resolution.

  • Helps ensure that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software development or relevant software development experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Analytical, Problem-Solving, Team Player and Good Communication skills.

  • Solution Delivery Methodologies – Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Design Thinking knowledge.

  • Application Life Cycle Management – Analyze, Design, Build/Develop, Test, Implement, Support, Decommission.

  • Experience with Microsoft's software development stack: Dot Net full-framework and core (C#), Entity Framework, SQL Server, and etc.

  • Experience with frontend web libraries/frameworks: Bootstrap, Angular (JavaScript/Typescript), ASP.NET MVC, and etc.

  • General familiarity with Azure Developer services: App services, Functions, Logic Apps, Application Insights, Azure SQL, CosmosDB and etc.

  • ServiceNow Configuration, Development (is a Plus).

Additional notes

  • No relocation support is provided for this role.

  • The ability to accommodate a flexible schedule aligned with international time zones is essential.
