Job Description: Senior Product Manager (Personal Loans & Customer Experience)

Location: Mumbai (As per company presence) Reports to: DVP/SVP Product

Direct Reports: 2 (Managing a part of Personal Loans and Customer Service Product Charters)

About the Role

At InCred, we are building a high-performance community rooted in meritocracy and ownership. We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager (SPM) to lead two critical charters: our Personal Loans (PL) growth engine and our Customer Service (CS) experience platform. In this role, you will transition from purely executing features to defining the strategic narrative for your verticals. You will be responsible for the "why" and "what" behind the roadmap, connecting your team's output to InCred’s broader business strategy. You will lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of high standards, deep customer empathy, and speed-driven delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Business Ownership

● Define the Vision: Craft a clear, forward-looking vision for the Personal Loans and Customer Service verticals. You must move beyond feature lists to define a narrative that aligns with company-wide strategic goals.

● Outcome over Output: You are responsible for the business outcomes driven by your team, not just the features shipped. You will identify when investments are hitting diminishing returns and proactively shift strategy to maximize ROI.

● Strategic Impact: Act as a key contributor to company-level strategy. You will clearly articulate the "so what" behind your team's work to the executive leadership, ensuring your roadmap drives meaningful progress toward organizational goals.

2. Execution & Delivery Excellence

● Speed & Quality: Instill a "speed wins" culture. You will enable your team to make tough trade-off decisions that result in successful initial launches followed by quick, data-driven iterations.

● Process Optimization: Critically assess the efficacy of your team’s specification and delivery processes. You will identify execution bottlenecks and change people or processes to ensure high-velocity delivery.

● Data-Driven Culture: Use data not just to track results, but to uncover new opportunities. You will bolster your case for investment using deep analytical insights and ensure your team builds fluency in data decision-making.

3. Team Leadership & Mentorship

● Coach & Develop: You will directly manage two Product Managers. Your goal is to move them from "managing projects" to "leading products." You will review their specs, guide them to write clear requirements, and help them navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.

● Career Growth: Proactively work with your direct reports to develop career plans that build relevant skills and identify growth paths within InCred.

● Hire & Raise the Bar: Play an active role in hiring. You are responsible for identifying skill gaps in your pod and ensuring we bring in talent that raises the collective intelligence of the team.

4. Stakeholder Management & Influence

● Orchestrate Alignment: You will proactively build relationships across Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Risk. You must ensure no "surprises" occur and that key stakeholders are included in decision-making early.

● Manage Up: Effectively influence strategic decisions with senior management. You will advocate for the resourcing and prioritization your initiatives need, ensuring your team’s outcomes have executive-level visibility.

The InCred DNA: Who You Are

● Risk-First Approach: In lending, risk is paramount. You prioritize sustainable, calculated growth over reckless expansion.

● Ownership Mentality: You act on behalf of the entire company. You never say "that's not my job."

● Bias for Good judgement:

○ You can identify when you are hitting the point of diminishing returns and can make the case to slow/stop investment.

○ You can find the right balance of stakeholder and customer needs... advocating for what you've determined to be the best direction

○ You can enable your team to take a 'speed wins' approach... strike the right balance between moving quickly and delivering effective functionality

○ Review specs created by your team and give effective feedback... guide your team to get to clearly written requirements

● Deep Care for Winning and Outcomes

○ You want to win and continuously work on understanding what's working in market and provide strategic inputs to your team/your managers and senior stakeholders via right communication tools like data, empathy and on ground research

○ Setup Sustainable processes and enable scale vs fire fighting amongst your teams.

Qualifications

● Experience: 6+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 2 years in Fintech or Lending.

● Leadership: Proven experience managing or mentoring junior PMs. You have a track record of leveling up those around you.

● Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Personal Loans lifecycle (origination to collection) and Customer Experience automation (servicing, bots, agent tools).

● Education: B.Tech/BE from a top-tier engineering institute; MBA is a plus but not mandatory if experience is stellar.

● Technical Fluency: You can discuss technical trade-offs with Engineering Managers and understand how to build scalable platforms.

● Data Proficiency: You are comfortable with SQL/Analytics tools and use them to challenge assumptions.
