Role Overview:
We are looking for an Import Operations Executive to support US PET resin import operations. The role will coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of international shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end US import operations for PET resin shipments
- Coordinate ocean shipments, vessel tracking, and shipment status updates
- Manage import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, COAs, and certificates
- Coordinate ISF filing and customs clearance activities with brokers
- Monitor container movement, port arrivals, delivery schedules, demurrage, and detention risks
- Work with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, and trucking providers
- Maintain import tracking reports and provide timely updates to internal teams
- Support issue resolution related to delays, documentation, and customs requirements
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- 2-5 years of experience in import operations, ocean logistics, or international trade
- Experience handling US imports and customs clearance processes
- Knowledge of ISF filing and import documentation requirements
- Experience with polymers, plastics, chemicals, or commodity imports is preferred
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
