We are seeking an HR Systems Manager to join our Global HR systems team. This team offers technical expertise and oversight for Workday, Cornerstone LMS, HR ServiceNow, and other HR Systems. The primary responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing HR Systems, consulting with business stakeholders to identify requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and providing functional and systematic support for complex system issues. The role also focuses on continuous improvement of system processes to enhance efficiencies and support a high-quality employee experience. As a manager, you will provide leadership and coaching to a team of HR Systems Administrators in alignment with the team's vision and assisting the HR Systems Leadership team in executing the overall team strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee Administration and Operations: Manage the ongoing operations of an HR system team, supporting various functional modules and integration points with vendors or other internal systems.

Provide Technical and Functional Expertise: Offer effective leadership to a team of HR Systems professionals through coaching, feedback, work direction, prioritization, and sound performance management practices. Act as a champion for the team and remove roadblocks to individual or organizational success.

Support Team Vision: In partnership with the HR Systems leadership team, support the execution of team vision and strategy and goals. Assist with resource allocation and managing overall team capacity. Support individual and team career development to ensure skills remain current with technical skills and best practices.

Provide Thought Leadership: Strongly influence complex system enhancements by clarifying business requirements, prioritizing initiatives, and interfacing with key stakeholders. Collaborate with tech and business partners to ensure work aligns with business strategy and continuously improve processes, procedures, and best practices. Drive consistency to ensure continued delivery of core functions.

Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with internal and external technology and business partners to ensure strong system performance and deliver robust solutions. Resolve complex escalations and utilize strong technical expertise to provide guidance on process and system solutions when issues occur. Proactively evaluate system performance and potential risks to identify needs, opportunities, or gaps and influence senior leaders on decisions and strategy.

Maintain Strong Relationships: Own and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive solutions and successful implementations. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an HR System for peers, business partners, and vendors. Proactively facilitate interactions with key stakeholders to ensure open communication and alignment. Support the development of effective change plans for updates and releases to ensure a positive user experience. Maintain a solid understanding of the business areas supported to ensure they are represented in all process and system work.

Stay Current with Industry Practices: Stay up to date on industry best practices, new functionality, and specific HR system fixes, releases, and market trends. Evaluate applicability to our processes and systems and provide recommendations for improvements.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

10+ years of system configuration experience in cloud-based/SaaS platforms, with at least 5 years of Workday experience in multiple modules (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Time and Absence, etc.).

5+ years of experience managing people.

Proven experience in supporting ongoing system maintenance, including the development, documentation, and implementation of multiple system enhancements and fixes for specific HR systems such as Cornerstone, Workday, ServiceNow, or other related SaaS-based systems.

Ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives and manage arising conflicts.

Experience collaborating across the organization and leading through collaboration and influencing decisions and strategy.

Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal) for interaction with all levels of leadership, technology, and business partners, along with managing productive working relationships.

Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to draw conclusions easily and make situational decisions.

Understanding of core HR processes (e.g., payroll, tax, and time & labor system processing).

Strong consultative skills and proven ability to translate business strategy into system solutions.
