The HR Manager plays a pivotal role in driving human resources strategy and operational excellence within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Reporting to senior management, this position is responsible for end-to-end HR functions including talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, statutory compliance, and workforce engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition for factory staff, engineers, sales, and corporate roles, ensuring timely hiring aligned with business needs.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for both blue-collar and white-collar positions, collaborating with agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and exit processes, with accurate documentation and compliance.
- Oversee payroll coordination, attendance tracking, leave management, and final settlement procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory regulations including PF, ESIC, PT, Factory Act, Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages Act, Bonus Act, and Gratuity Act.
- Maintain audit-ready records, registers, and documentation; coordinate with consultants and authorities for inspections and filings.
- Address employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and industrial relations matters with fairness and timeliness.
- Implement engagement initiatives to enhance morale, reduce turnover, and strengthen workplace culture.
- Design and execute performance appraisal systems based on KRAs/KPIs; support data-driven performance management.
- Develop, review, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and HR systems in line with best practices and audit requirements (e.g., ISO).
Requirements
- MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or engineering industries.
- Proven expertise in labour laws, statutory compliance, and industrial relations.
- Strong proficiency in HRMS, MS Excel, and MS Office for reporting, data analysis, and documentation.
- Demonstrated success in recruitment, talent management, and employee engagement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Experience in performance management, policy development, and audit readiness.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and internal/external audit processes is a plus.
