Role Summary:
As the Head of Marketplace, you will lead and drive marketplace operations, partnerships, and strategy. This role is pivotal in maximizing marketplace performance, optimizing sales, and ensuring seamless integration with our brand vision. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to expand our marketplace presence, elevate customer experience, and achieve business growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketplace strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Identify and assess potential marketplace partners and platforms for expansion.
- Lead annual and quarterly planning to achieve growth targets across various marketplaces.
- Drive revenue growth by optimizing marketplace listings, pricing, inventory, and promotions.
- Analyze data and KPIs to evaluate marketplace performance, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize product listings for better search rankings, click-through rates (CTR), and conversion rates (CR), etc.
- Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions on pricing, inventory levels, and demand forecasting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key marketplace platforms, resolving issues and coordinating between teams.
- Looking after the PnL responsibility, managing partnerships with marketplaces like Amazon, Myntra, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in marketplace management, e-commerce, or retail, with a focus on revenue growth and operations.
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing listings on e-com platforms, with a deep understanding of its ranking algorithms.
- Strong proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, Helium 10, Ahrefs) and familiarity with marketplace CMS platforms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail in the apparel category.
- Experience working in a fast-paced ecommerce apparel environment.
- Expertise in trends, consumer preferences, and seasonality in the fashion and apparel industry.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt quickly to changing market dynamics.
