Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

- Develop and execute long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives including cloud adoption, automation, and infrastructure scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure supports enterprise applications and services.

Infrastructure & Cloud Management

- Oversee the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of private cloud environments (e.g., VMware, OpenStack).
- Manage data centers, server farms, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

Network & Security Operations

- Design and manage enterprise network architecture including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and MPLS.
- Administer firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Implement robust cybersecurity frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001).

Operational Excellence

- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics for infrastructure services.
- Drive automation and standardization across infrastructure operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and contract negotiations.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers and network specialists.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Provide technical guidance and career development support.

Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills

- Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in private cloud (VMware, OpenStack), hybrid cloud integration, and cloud orchestration tools.
- Server & Storage: Strong knowledge of server architecture, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), SAN/NAS storage systems.
- Networking: Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network segmentation.
- Security: Experience with enterprise-grade firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools.
- Automation & Monitoring: Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Telecom Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with telecom-grade networking, OSS/BSS systems, and carrier-grade hardware.

Leadership & Soft Skills

- Strategic thinking and ability to align technology with business goals.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 20+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Telecom industry experience is mandatory.

Preferred Certifications

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- ITIL Foundation or higher
