Leads the end-to-end development and commercialization of warranty, annual maintenance, and accidental damage protection plans. Responsibilities include product design, drafting terms and conditions, market and competitor research, pricing and risk analysis, category expansion, and sales enablement. The role partners with internal stakeholders, B2B clients, OEMs, service franchises, repair networks, and sales teams to launch profitable protection products.
Job Purpose: The Growth Manager will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of warranty and damage protection programs. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, pricing, and launching protection plans across a wide array of categories, including Electronics, Consumer Durables, Mobile, Laptops and new categories.
- Product Innovation & Design
· Conceptualize and design comprehensive warranty, Annual maintenance contract and accidental damage protection plans.
· Draft detailed Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)
· Expand product footprints into new categories.
2. Market Intelligence & Strategy
· Conduct frequent market surveys to identify evolving customer needs and competitive gaps.
· Maintain a "Competitor War Room" mindset—staying updated on the pricing, T&Cs, and service levels of industry.
· Act as the primary custodian for all product documentation and program health.
3. Commercials & Risk Management
· Develop robust pricing models based on loss-ratio analysis, repair costs, and market benchmarks.
· Identify potential underwriting risks and create "counter-measures" (deductibles, exclusions, or frequency caps) to ensure profitability.
4. Sales Enablement & Communication
· Transform complex technical products into compelling sales pitches and high-impact "One-Pagers."
· Create and deliver sophisticated PowerPoint presentations for internal stakeholders and external B2B partners.
· Work closely with the sales team to ensure they are equipped with the "Why" behind every product feature.
Desired candidate profile:
- 8+ years of experience in device protection, Insurance, InsurTech, Extended Warranty, or Product Management within the Consumer durable, IT and Consumer Finance sector.
- Analytical Prowess: Ability to handle large data sets to derive pricing and risk-mitigation strategies.
- Drafting Skills: Exceptional command of the English language for drafting legally sound and easy-to-understand T&Cs.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and passionate about building products from scratch.
- Prior exposure to Extended Warranty / AMC / Protection Plans is mandatory
- Worked with OEMs, service franchises, or repair networks.
