Join Columbia Threadneedle Investments, an Ameriprise Financial company, in this exciting new position. You will enable the delivery of our commercial strategy and asset raising via the support of a more tech enabled, insight led approach to Distribution (Sales & Client Management).
Our Distribution Insight team is the powerhouse enabling data-driven, insight led decision making and commercial execution across the sales and client management teams. As part of this, the Insight function drives the businesses’ ability to make data-driven decisions based as on best-in-class analytics and reporting.
You will partner with business stakeholders, product management and technologists to ensure Distribution teams are equipped with trusted data to operate at their best.
You will have the ability to conduct regular analysis of marketing, client and industry data to identify patterns to improve critical metrics at all stages of the Sales funnel (awareness, engagement, conversion, adoptions).
Measurement Strategy - define objectives and scope analytics tasks and deliverables for commercial projects and clients, including the creation and improvement of multi-step sales and client service journeys and processes.
Develop the data strategy to support customer journeys that enable optimization of multi-touch engagement programs across all forms of client touchpoint.
Experimentation - Manage the end-to-end testing process for high priority use cases, including hypothesis development, KPI selection, A/B measurement and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage tools such as Snowflake and Tableau to develop and manage a range of business dashboards in support of the sales and client management process.
- Build visualization, reporting and analysis using tools like Snowflake and Tableau with little direction.
- Working closely with business to learn about their processes and requirements, translate that knowledge into technical requirements and executing the same in time and accurately through effective communication and project management.
- Strong business partner relationship management through effective communication on project updates and raising risk to deliverables in a timely manner.
- Understand our data across systems and on data lake and leverage it effectively to deliver reporting and intelligence to business.
- Conducting reporting with data assurance to meet regulatory requirements on our data.
- The other component would be leveraging our data across systems like on prem and data lake, gaining familiarity with it and leveraging and populating the data lake to enable reporting through AWS tools as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in a reporting and analysis role.
- Intermediate - Expert level knowledge of building Tableau visualizations.
- Strong knowledge of SQL programming.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Snowflake tools and environment is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and capable of writing key insights for the business in a concise manner.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Thought leader to strategize and lead the change and the new initiatives for the global teams.
- High sense of urgency and ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and working experience of Python programming an advantage
