Summary of Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for global mobility and U.S. immigration matters.
Manage all aspects of U.S. immigration compliance, including visa applications, renewals, and tracking expirations.
Develop and maintain global mobility policies and processes, ensuring scalability and compliance.
Advise HR and business leaders on immigration issues and legislative changes.
Partner with external vendors for immigration case management and ensure service-level agreements are met.
Prepare annual immigration budgets and monitor costs.
Maintain internal communication platforms and resources for employees and managers.
Support international assignments and transfers, including cost projections and compliance reviews.
Deliver training on immigration and mobility topics to HR, managers, and leadership.
Monitor and implement changes in immigration laws and propose policy updates.
All other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Law, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration law and processes.
Strong understanding of global mobility policies, immigration compliance, and expatriate tax requirements.
Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Global Mobility Specialist certification
MS Excel skills
Experience (Minimum Required):
At least 8-10 years of professional experience in Global Mobility, including:
Managing immigration cases globally, with proven experience in US immigration and the green card process within a global organization.
Managing international assignments and relocations, including tax and compliance.
Managing vendor relationships
Process improvement skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong MS Office skills
Technically competent
Experience (Preferred):
Experience with HR Systems such as Workday
Analytical skills
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Role can be fully remote.
Minimal travel required (up to 5%, domestic or international).
Ability to work across time zones for global coordination.
