Associate / Senior Associate, Operations & Reconciliation
Location: Mumbai
Department: Fund Accounting

Your Responsibilities:

• Product Knowledge: Bonds interest calculations, Swaps financing calculations, F&O, Equity, Leveraged Loans
• Reconciliations - Cash rec, Position Rec, Trade Recs
• Fund Accounting - Journal Entries, Trial Balance, Payable/Receivable, GAV and NAV calculation, investor allocations, financial statements as per GAAP
• Collateral Management - Interpretation of Counterparty Statements
• Good knowledge and understanding of reconciliations processing (related to cash, position, trade) across all funds & instrument types (forex, equity, options, derivatives, swaps)
• Good skill in identifying /resolution for aged exception/reporting differences.
• Should be able to perform daily, monthly complex reconciliations independently.
• Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies/breaks.
• Reviewing fund administrator reconciliations with resolution of trade/cash/position/mv/ote discrepancies
• Should be able to liaison with internal as well as external constituents for information.
• Assist in developing reconciliations for new products or new PB relationships.
• Ensure to adhere quality SLA while performing reconciliations.
• Verifying prices and income, rate of interest etc. depending upon the security being booked through Bloomberg or other market data services and provide appropriate back-ups.
• Identification of breaks within reconciliations.
• Ensuring proper assignment of breaks and working with those parties to ensure resolution.
• Assistance with monthly reporting of aging schedules and aged breaks.
• Effectively communicate with multiple business partners, including upstream data providers, accounting/operations colleagues.
• Properly escalate issues identified as potential risks.
• Provide process improvement ideas and solutions to reduce non-value-added work.
• Should be familiar with major custodian/Prime Broker reporting.

Your Profile:

• Graduate / Post Graduate or similar (Preferably Accounting, Finance and Banking)
• Should have relevant fund accounting reconciliations
• Geneva experience would be added advantage
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications including Advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize work and function with minimal guidance
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Good understanding of Capital Market, Hedge Fund and Financial Instruments
• Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
• Should have ability to work independently and also in a team environment
• Candidates should be willing and flexible to work in any shifts
