Overview: Litera is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong focus on Node.js to join our growing development team. You will be a key player in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), building high-quality, fully functional web applications that meet our rigorous development standards. Join our collaborative team to innovate and make a significant impact in the web development space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable, and extensible code for full-stack web applications with a focus on Node.js

• Independently complete web development tasks within allocated timeframes and under general supervision

• Review code defects, identify remediation steps, and implement solutions in web-based environments

• Achieve proficiency in full-stack engineering skills, with a particular emphasis on Node.js and web development frameworks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

• 2 to 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development, with a proven track record of solving real-world business challenges

• Strong understanding of web development principles, including object-oriented design, SOLID, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

• Proficiency in Node.js and server frameworks such as Express

• Solid foundation in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and web frameworks like React or Angular

• Experience with REST API development and cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS

• Familiarity with Visual Studio, GIT, Azure DevOps, NuGet, and collaborative tools for distributed teams

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core is desirable

• Familiarity with additional back-end technologies

• Experience with unit testing libraries

• Knowledge of cloud software design patterns, Microservices, Serverless functions, and Agile/SCRUM methodologies

• Good knowledge of software design patterns and best practices in web application development
