The Bloom Energy Finance team is seeking a highly motivated, independent, Financial Analyst with a positive attitude to join its Finance team. This position will report to Senior Manager Finance, and is responsible for assisting in development of forecasts, review of actual and in preparation of operational performance reporting. This individual must have the ability to learn quickly and handle flexibility with priorities. The candidate will help provide business advisory and financial analysis for manufacturing operations team. The ideal candidate is expected to have a good understanding manufacturing finance with a good track record of having supported global manufacturing operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop forecasts, monitor actuals and provide in-depth analysis on variances to forecasts
- Analyze actual, forecasts and prepare reports tied to cost of goods sold
- Work cross-functionally to incorporate requirements for forecasts as well as for business outlook and develop models/analytics to help improve gross margins
- Assist in monthly and quarterly reporting needs for Delaware and Korea Operations
- Develop spending models for scenario planning, overhead rate determination and partner with Plant managers to help consolidate total department spending for Operations
- Play a key role in developing and maintaining dashboard reports, cost roadmap.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for business decisions – modeling, forecasting, and ROI analysis
- Liaison with India finance team to ensure alignment with respect to consolidation of India and Korea operations.
Skills and Experience:
- Must have a strong understanding of cost accounting under US GAAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion a plus
- Strong communication and analytical skills are critical in interfacing with manufacturing, operations and management
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA/CA) in Accounting or finance
- CMA is a plus
- 5 years of experience of working in a Multinational company for FP&A role.
