BFS - Manager – Commercial Finance – HBS Airports
As a Commercial Manager for GBS BFS, you will play a key role in managing the HBS Airports business P&L of over ~100M at Honeywell. The role is responsible for financial analysis, operational oversight, and business reviews that support strategic decision-making and drive performance improvement. Core responsibilities include monitoring financial performance, leading planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and supporting operational reviews, including deal reviews and business support for the General Manager.
The role will also be responsible for HBS R&D, including oversight and management of the HBS R&D budget.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis and Performance Management: Monitor performance against key metrics including pricing, orders, revenue, variable contribution margin (VCM), fixed costs, free cash flow (FCF), and conversion, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Forecasting and Planning: Partner with regional and functional leaders to lead Pulse, SRO (Short Range Outlook), AOP (Annual Operating Plan), and related forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections.
- Operational and Financial Reviews: Lead monthly reviews with operations and finance leadership to assess risks and opportunities (R&O), evaluate financial performance, address variances, and align action plans.
- R&D Budget Management: Oversee and manage the HBS R&D budget to support strategic decision-making and improve cost performance.
Education and Certifications
- Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/master’s degree in finance, or Business Administration
Required Experience 10+ years of overall finance experience.

- Exposure to Global Customers with ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees/customers and align and integrate with other departments / sites.
- Strategic Partner with Leadership and Functional leaders to manage financial targets for the function.
- Prior exposure of driving business finance metrics
- Exposure to Tools like Power BI, Advance excel etc.
- Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Essbase, and Hyperion
- The ability to quickly identify subtle patterns among issues and to make consistent, timely decisions.
- Strong cross functional and peer influencing skills.
