Position Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced trader to join our growing Equity Derivatives desk in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have institutional trading experience, a strong grasp of execution handling, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced trading environment. This role demands precision, client focus, technology proficiency, and the ability to manage large volumes of orders while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Execute directional equity derivatives orders and rollover lists as per client and desk requirements.
Manage large trading volumes across multiple institutional clients with accuracy and speed.
Utilize the Omnesys trading platform, including ALGO executions, to meet strategic objectives.
Assist in the development and refinement of trading strategies in coordination with desk analysts.
Monitor market movements to support optimal execution and reduce market impact.
Maintain effective communication with sales, research, and risk teams for smooth trade management.
Generate and analyze trade execution reports using MS Excel for performance tracking.
Ensure compliance with internal risk management policies and SEBI regulations.
Identify opportunities to automate tasks and improve efficiency through VBA or Python scripting.
Support post-trade activities, including reconciliation and reporting to clients.
Requirements
Experience: 3–6 years of institutional trading experience, handling directional orders and rollover lists.
Technical Skills: Strong MS Excel proficiency; knowledge of Omnesys platform (ALGO & manual executions).
Execution Capability: Proven ability to handle large trade volumes across multiple clients simultaneously.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Programming Skills: Knowledge of VBA or Python is an added advantage. Education: Post-graduate degree or graduation with relevant specialization in Finance, Economics, or related field.
Market Acumen: Sound understanding of equity derivatives markets, trading regulations, and risk controls.
