Engineer II - Software Development

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building complex Java applications, troubleshooting the issue, and providing the fixes by following best practices.
• This includes anything between complex groups of back-end services and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment.
• Primary responsibility will be to design, develop, troubleshoot these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.
• Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Around 3-5 years of experience in developing Enterprise applications using J2EE, Spring Framework, with the REST & SOAP standards.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in application development using spring based Microservices
• Experience with EJB, Spring Framework (including Spring Boot), Hibernate, iBatis, Oracle Databases.
• Technical Expertise in Spring Framework [Core, Boot, Data, MVC] and WebServices (REST, SOAP) supporting high volume transactions in a distributed environment.
• Thorough experience in writing high-quality code with full automated unit test coverage (Junit, Mockito, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in Industry Standard security concepts like Certificates, Vaults, Key rotation, OAuth & JWT.
• Proficient with tools like Swagger, Putty, Maven, GIT Lab, IntelliJ IDEA, STS, SonarQube, JMeter etc.
• Experience with multi-threading and performance tuning.
• Strong agile/scrum development experience
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular or React JS.
• Hands on experience in writing DB queries.
• Good to have hands on any application servers like IBM WebLogic, Websphere or Jboss.
