Design, implement, and maintain DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC for cloud environments. Build deployment tools, ensure zero-downtime strategies, automate repetitive tasks, troubleshoot production issues, enforce security/compliance (AD/IAM/cloud auditing), and collaborate to optimize deployment and testing processes.

Job Responsibilities:
- Operational Best Practices: Design, implement, and maintain operational best practices for tools and automation development. This includes version control, branching, merging patterns, and adherence to DevOps principles, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform.
- CI/CD Standards: Lead the development and advocacy of CI/CD best practices, standards, and processes using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodeBuild, and others.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support to our development teams by maintaining and upgrading the existing configuration management environment.
- Tool Development: Build and deploy tools to enhance the deployment framework required for our Enterprise platform, ensuring solutions align with departmental goals and SLAs for availability, scalability, and resiliency.
- Zero Downtime Strategies: Develop and implement strategies for zero downtime deployments and patching, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and optimize deployment and build processes.
- Automation and Troubleshooting: Actively contribute to problem management by automating repetitive tasks and troubleshooting issues to prevent reoccurrence.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure all solutions are compliant with security and regulatory standards, including AD, IAM, and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools.
- Continuous Testing: Promote and implement continuous testing practices within the DevOps lifecycle.
Requirements
- Cloud Expertise: 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or GCP.
- Version Control: 5+ years of experience with Git and other revision control systems.
- Agile Methodologies: Proven experience working within Agile teams and project environments.
- Scripting Proficiency: Advanced scripting skills in at least one of the following languages: Perl, Python, Java, Node.js.
- CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodeBuild, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in cloud automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience delivering and managing solutions on AWS, with additional experience in Azure and/or GCP, is a plus.
- Problem Resolution: Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, serving as an escalation point for resolving blocking issues, dependencies, and risks.
- Certification: AWS/GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Architect certification is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Internet Connection:
- Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
- Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
- Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.
- Primary Device:
- Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
- Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
- A minimum of 8 GB RAM.
- Backup Device:
- Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
- Must be functional during power interruptions.
- A functioning webcam.
- A noise-canceling USB headset.
- A quiet, dedicated home office space.
