The Role
This is an opportunity for a data analyst to build experience at a growing software company, in a supportive, diverse and hardworking data team. This contract-based role involves analyzing data quality, applying data maintenance activities, and acquiring and integrating publicly available data into our proprietary data sets.
What You’ll Do
- Work with the product manager to understand data quality requirements, data sources and maintenance requirements
- Build quality checks, validation rules and other processes to ensure data quality
- Configure web scrapes and ETL pipelines to integrate data sources into our systems
- Document the above processes
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, a meticulous approach, especially when working with data
- Prior experience with Web-scraping
- Understanding of: SQL and Python
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow written instructions, seek clarification where needed, and assess the output of a Web scrape against the written requirements
- Able to document work with precision and clarity
- Good written and verbal communications skills in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with/understanding of: XPath selectors, Document Object Model (DOM), and AWS
