OVERVIEW

You will lead a software engineering team supporting the Palantir software engineering portfolio and building scalable, high-quality end-to-end digital solutions that support business goals across General Mills. This role gives you the opportunity to shape how teams deliver, grow engineering talent, and improve execution across multiple development efforts. You will work closely with engineering leaders, software engineers, technical leads, and cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, modern applications. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead and develop a team of software engineers and technical leads to achieve individual, team, and business goals.
  • Hire, onboard, and grow talent while building a strong, engaged, and high-performing engineering organization.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members and lead performance feedback and development discussions.
  • Plan, prioritize, and oversee software development work across multiple teams to deliver against commitments.
  • Review project scope, requirements, and resource needs to ensure teams are staffed effectively and work is executed efficiently.
  • Coach direct reports and strengthen team capability through mentoring, support, and continuous development.
  • Drive collaboration, accountability, and strong execution across teams and partner groups.
  • Manage external vendor support, including contractor onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing engagement effectiveness.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
  • 12 or more years of experience in software development projects.
  • 5 or more years of experience managing medium to large software engineering teams, including teams of 15 or more.
  • Hands-on understanding of object-oriented programming and strong system-level knowledge for building end-to-end applications using the .NET technology stack, including C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, application programming interfaces, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with modern web application development using frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, high-quality, and high-performing applications aligned to business goals.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, engineering best practices, and multiple development and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with coding standards, code reviews, unit testing frameworks, application programming interface testing, and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database programming.
  • Strong communication, people leadership, coaching, and collaboration skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with low-code platforms.
  • Experience building cloud-native applications and microservices-based solutions.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Exposure to modern data and analytics environments, including data warehouse, extract-transform-load, or artificial intelligence and machine learning-related technologies.
  • Experience managing vendor-supported delivery models in a global organization.
  • Experience using engineering delivery and issue tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with strong execution and attention to detail.
