Overview
Indirect Sourcing is looking for the next great Buyer to join our team! As the Buyer, Corp Services, you will be a strategic category leader responsible for supporting the development and execution strategies across Corp Services sub-categories, which may include L&D & Facility and more!
This role executes sourcing strategies, leads competitive bids, manages supplier performance and partners closely with sourcing stakeholders to deliver cost savings and operational efficiency
This Buyer leads high-impact, cross-functional initiatives and is expected to influence mid-level stakeholders while delivering measurable savings, innovation and risk mitigation.
The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with North America cross-functional teams and stakeholders across various levels.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the development and execution of multi-year holistic category strategies in collaboration with Category Manager, aligned to business objectives, identifying opportunities for consolidation, innovation, cost optimization and capability expansion.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFI/RFP) for assigned sub-categories, structuring commercial models, negotiating terms and driving measurable savings, value creation and risk reduction.
- Build HMM (Holistic Margin Management) and Total Value pipelines in accordance to sub-category targets; track savings and execute value-delivery initiatives.
- Stakeholder leadership – provide sourcing guidance and process best practices to business leaders, supporting transportation initiatives, translating transportation strategy into sourcing strategy and facilitating alignment between legal, finance, logistics and suppliers.
- Supplier Relationship Management – manage day-to-day supplier relationships, monitor performance, and lead performance management and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance to General Mills’ Sourcing Policies and GMI’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies are foremost in all supplier interactions and comply with corporate and regulatory policies and accounting practices.
Minimum Qualification
- 2-3+ years in Indirect Sourcing or Crorporate Services Procurement experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in BusinessBachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field
- Direct experience leading end-to-end RFPs, commercial negotiations and contract development.
- Experience managing suppliers within the transportation category
- Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings
Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
- Solid negotiation skills and commercial structuring capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
- Financial and cost analysis capability (cost modeling, rate benchmarking, ROI analysis)
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- 4+ 5 years in Sourcing
- Bachelor’s Degree in bBusiness, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field
- Direct experience leading end-to-end RFPs, commercial negotiations and contract development.
- Experience managing suppliers within the transportation category
- Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings

Preferred Qualification
- Preferred Degree Requirements: Master’s degree (MBA other advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field)
- Preferred years of related experience: 3-5 Years experience in Sourcing or other Indirect Sourcing categories.
