Job Title: Chapter Lead SAP BW
Location: Bangalore

Impact & contribution
As SAP BW Chapter Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the designs within your SAP BW domain to align to the SAP Application Architecture. Specifically, as a Chapter Lead, you are responsible for data engineering, along with backend coding expertise in ABAP for SAP BW. This includes design, Analysis, implement/deliver the initiative on own or along with the peers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- SAP BW expertise for development, upgrade and support for Production and Problem Management.
- Demonstrated experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) development, upgrade, and support on large installations.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and design strategies.
- Strong experience in implementing SAP BW objects such as Open Hub, Transformation, DTP, Process Chains, expert routines, housekeeping within SAP BW.
- Should have strong hands-on experience on BW and BW4HANA with end-to-end implementation / upgrade projects.
- Strong data modelling and SAP BW / BW4HANA back-end technical design, build and test experience leveraging LSA++ modelling objects.
- Configuration of the SAP BW application including data models, ETL and reporting tools in SAP.
- Strong exposure to integration of SAP BW with SAP and Non-SAP applications.
- Strong experience in implementing SAP BW objects such as Open Hub, Transformation, DTP, Process Chains, expert routines, housekeeping within SAP BW
- Creating the Proper documentation, definition of technical operational concepts and guidelines for the implemented SAP landscapes and roll out of this information/knowledge to the Operations team.
- Experience in configuration and management of ODP framework and administration.
- Collaborate closely with developers and architects from the technology platform and all lines of businesses to come to feasible and adaptable solution.
- Lead the Scrum Teams.
- Prepare or assist in preparing deliverables/documentation for review and feedback.
- Exposure to AMDP and SQL Procedures for SAP HANA and BW4HANA
- Exposure to batch monitoring tools in SAP BW
- Exposure to integration of SAP BW with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau and publishing SAP queries using Fiori.
Essential Skills
- 12 Years+ of SAP BW hands on experience.
- Expertise in the following areas:
- SAP BW / BI
- SAP BW4HANA
- Data Modelling, Reporting, Engineering.
- Strong communication skills both written and spoken in English.
- High level of communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to solicit opinions, accept feedback.
- Knowledge ITIL and Project management
- Ability to work in a highly integrated and heterogeneous environment.
- Ability to deliver convincing presentations that provide significant insight and generate consensus and buy-in
- Experience in operating effectively as part of cross- technical and functional teamsExperience in building modern microservices architecture
- Cloud platforms: AWS services is preferred
- Configuration as Code to manage your application configuration
- Source control systems (Git), SAST/DAST, and with CI/CD toolsets
- Sound understanding of application and system security best practices
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or any similar stream
