Job Summary

The Product Manager - PC Business will be responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and market share of the assigned PC product portfolio. The role involves managing vendor relationships, product lifecycle management, pricing strategies, inventory planning, channel development, and execution of sales and marketing initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with OEM partners, sales teams, marketing, supply chain, and channel partners to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Revenue Management

  • Manage the complete P&L for the assigned PC category/business.

  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets.

  • Monitor business performance and recommend corrective actions to achieve objectives.

  • Drive sales growth through effective product positioning and channel engagement.

Vendor/OEM Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with PC vendors/OEMs.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with vendors.

  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, rebates, promotions, and business support programs.

  • Ensure alignment with vendor growth strategies and business goals.

Product Lifecycle Management
  • Manage product launches, transitions, and end-of-life planning.

  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive offerings.

  • Recommend portfolio expansion opportunities and new product introductions.

Pricing & Profitability
  • Develop pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability.

  • Monitor competitor pricing and market movements.

  • Ensure optimal margin management across products and channels.

  • Track and manage vendor incentive programs and rebates.

Demand Planning & Inventory Management
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams for forecasting and inventory planning.

  • Monitor stock availability, ageing inventory, and inventory turnover.

  • Ensure healthy inventory levels to support business growth while minimizing excess stock.

Sales Enablement
  • Work closely with sales teams to drive product adoption and revenue growth.

  • Conduct product training and sales enablement sessions.

  • Develop sales tools, product positioning documents, and competitive comparisons.

Marketing & Go-to-Market Execution
  • Partner with marketing teams to execute campaigns, promotions, and demand-generation activities.

  • Support channel programs, partner events, roadshows, and product launches.

  • Ensure effective communication of product value propositions.
     

Market Intelligence & Analysis
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

  • Generate business reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards.

  • Provide actionable insights to management and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Engineering, or related field.

  • MBA preferred.

  • 4-8+ years of experience in Product Management, Category Management, Vendor Management, or Business Management within IT Distribution, PC/Laptop Industry, or Technology Products.
