We are seeking an experienced Azure Network Design Engineer with strong LAN networking skills to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance network architectures across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure networking, Fortinet firewalls, VNET peering, and BGP routing protocols, along with hands-on experience in LAN design and optimization.
Essential Job Functions:
- -Design and implement Azure network architectures, including VNETs, subnets, and VNET peering.
- Configure and manage Azure Firewall and Fortinet firewalls for hybrid cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain secure connectivity between on-premises LAN and Azure cloud using VPN and ExpressRoute.
- Implement and troubleshoot BGP routing protocols for dynamic routing across hybrid networks.
- Design and optimize LAN infrastructure, including VLANs, routing, and segmentation.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for cloud and on-premises networks.
- Monitor network performance and implement solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and application owners to align network design with business needs.
- Prepare detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Azure and LAN environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Firewall, VNET peering, and ExpressRoute.
- Strong knowledge of BGP routing protocols and dynamic routing configurations.
- Proficiency in LAN design, VLANs, routing, NAT, and network segmentation.
- Familiarity with other cloud networking services (AWS, GCP) is an advantage.
- Experience with network automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Azure certifications (AZ-700: Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions) preferred.
- Fortinet NSE4 or higher certification is a plus.
