Lead legal strategy and dispute management, support business expansion, and strengthen legal operations. Oversee commercial contracts, corporate advisory, and litigation; implement ADR/ODR initiatives; develop scalable workflows and governance; drive technology and automation adoption; conduct legal trainings; and collaborate with regulators, external counsel, and cross-functional teams.
This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, operational excellence, and
deep legal expertise. As Associate Vice President – Legal, you will lead legal strategy, oversee dispute
management,, support business expansion, and strengthen legal processes across the organization.
● Develop and execute the organization's legal strategy aligned with business objectives.
● Establish and monitor key performance indicators to drive efficiency, quality and continuous
improvement within the legal function.
● Identify legal risks and recommend practical, business-oriented solutions.
● Provide legal oversight and guidance in resolving legal and procedural issues arising from
operational workflows.
● Drive legal initiatives to strengthen Online Dispute Resolution ecosystem.
● Stay updated on developments in ADR, ODR, technology law and relevant judicial
pronouncements.
● Support process innovation and continuous improvement within legal operations.
● Develop scalable legal workflows and governance frameworks.
● Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve legal operations and
operational efficiency.
● Conduct legal awareness sessions and workshops for internal and external stakeholders.
● Build and nurture relationships with regulators, industry bodies and external legal advisors.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational effectiveness and support
organisational objectives.
Requirements
● LLB (LLM preferred) from a reputed institution.
● 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in in-house legal, law firms or legal consulting.
● Strong experience in commercial contracting, corporate advisory and litigation management.
● Excellent understanding of Indian corporate laws, contract law, technology law and regulatory
frameworks.
● Experience working with startups, fintech, SaaS or technology companies is preferred.
● Working knowledge of ADR and Online Dispute Resolution frameworks will be an advantage.
● Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
● Strong analytical thinking and commercial judgement.
● Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
