Leads market risk and asset-liability management governance for a bank. Responsibilities include reviewing risk policies and risk appetite frameworks, validating materials for senior management and board committees, monitoring market and liquidity conditions, facilitating ALCO proceedings, tracking action items, overseeing ALM software automation, coordinating vendors, and supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
o Review, Amendment, Annual Renewal of various policies in line with the extant internal/external guidelines
o Verification of notes, agendas to Top Management, ALCO,RMC and Board prepared by desk officers
o Providing regular updates on market conditions, trends and their implications to the Bank from liquidity, ALM and Market risk management point of view to Head Market Risk and ALM
o Facilitating smooth conduct of ALCO proceedings and to get the ALCO minutes approved. Follow-up of suggestions/instructions of ALCO team and putting up Action Taken Report in the ensuing ALCO.
o Directing team to generate agenda / PPT for Risk Management Committee of Board including latest Market Happenings for timely circulation amongst RMC Members.
o Co-ordinating with MRMD team for knowledge sharing and upkeep of job-role at each desk.
o Upkeep of automated ALM process through Surya Software systems and co-ordinating with the vendor for periodical upgradation.
o Addressing / Audit / RBS team/ Compliance team requirements in consultation with AGM - Head MRMD & ALM.
