Lead and enhance the bank's transaction surveillance framework to detect, investigate, and report suspicious activity. Drive system enhancements, automation, risk mitigation projects, and regulatory compliance. Provide subject-matter expertise, collaborate cross-functionally, and implement best-practice compliance solutions aligned to AML/CTF requirements.

Responsibilities
- Lead and strengthen the Bank's Transaction Surveillance framework by driving effective monitoring, regulatory compliance, and strategic transformation initiatives
- Ensure robust detection, investigation, and reporting of suspicious activities
- Deliver key surveillance system enhancements, automation, and risk mitigation projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the Bank's overall compliance and risk management capabilities
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices, and implement appropriate measures to maintain compliance
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the wider organization on transaction monitoring and surveillance-related matters
Requirements
- 10 years of relevant experience in transaction monitoring, surveillance, or compliance within the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to anti mule / anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and other financial crimes
- Proficient in data analysis, risk assessment, and the use of surveillance and investigation tools
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proven track record in driving process improvements and implementing effective compliance solutions
