Android SDK Engineer

About the Role:

As a Android SDK Engineer you will build & deploy high-quality CleverTap SDKs.

What will you do:

- Design, configure and build CleverTap SDK to meet business processes and requirements

- Design and build applications for Android & hybrid environments like React-Native & Flutter

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the SDKs

- Collaborate with a team of developers to define, design, and ship new features

- Collaborate with support and documentation teams to enhance existing processes and developer documentation.

- Perform manual QA and regression testing for new features

- Maintained code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

- Have knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies

What are we looking for?

Must have:

- 3-5 years of experience in development in Android along with React-Native or Flutter

- Engineering in CS or related domains

- Knowledge of Android OS architecture and related conceptual technologies

- Knowledge of JAVA or Kotlin along with strong CS & OS fundamentals

- Understanding hybrid frameworks like Flutter, React Native, Unity, and Cordova would be beneficial

- Have one or more Android apps developed in Android/Flutter/React-Native. Either deployed on the Google Play Store or available on Github

- Have a first-principles approach to problem-solving

- Knowledge of Git version control, Github & Bitbucket

- Exposure to unit-test automation frameworks for apps/SDKs written for Android.

- Knowledge of Gradle tasks and automating builds using CI/CD tools like Bitrise, Travis, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions

Good to Have: 

- Experience in the SaaS domain

- Experience in building products that are powered by data & insights

- Programming experience in Javascript would be helpful

- Prior experience with websockets will be an added advantage
