The Analyst, FP&A will manage and analyze data feeds, assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, and support the preparation of financial reports and presentations. Responsibilities include coordinating data analysis with global colleagues and enhancing data models for better reporting insights.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Management and Analysis:
- Prepare and coordinate data feeds and imports into Anaplan.
- Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly data management using change reports and variance analysis.
- Use the firm’s financial and data technology tools to gather, clean, and consolidate relevant data for analysis.
- Use pivot tables and other Microsoft Excel functions (e.g. INDEX/SUMIFS) to optimize raw data interpretation.
- Aid the enhancement and improvement of data models as well as contribute to creation of new data models to support regular and Ad Hoc reporting.
- Coordinate with colleagues in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America on data analysis needs and other data management and analysis as required.
Management Report Support:
- Aid the creation of regular AUM and P&L management reports by sourcing relevant data using the firm’s technology tools.
- Support Ad Hoc report and analysis as required by gathering relevant data.
- Assist with Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools.
- Recommend insights on trends, variances, and other financial data observations.
- Coordinate with colleagues in other regions on the timely completion of regular reports.
- Other reporting requirements as required.
Presentation Preparation:
- Develop appropriate visualizations to be used in aid data interpretation and analysis.
- Update power point templates using excel models, data tables etc.
- Create new presentations as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Proven analytical skills and rigor with strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- At least two years of M&A experience with a global investment bank, private equity fund, or Asset Manager preferred.
- Strong financial modelling skills including 3-statement financial projections, methods of valuation, revenue and expense analysis, cash flow analysis, and the use and interpretation of applicable financial, leverage, and profitability ratios.
- A team player, possessing a proactive attitude, collaborative working style, and the ability and experience to handle multiple assignments effectively and work autonomously.
- Knowledge of corporate finance and valuation methodologies with a bachelor’s degree in finance, or related corporate finance fields.
