Role Description (Primary functions & responsibilities):

Company: Beckman Coulter India Private Limited, South West Asia

Location: Mumbai

Position: Finance Analyst - Accounting

Reporting to: Manager, Financial Reporting & Controlling

Works with: Finance, Sales, Service, Logistics and Distribution, Customer Service, Auditors, Consultants, etc.

Reportees: None

Position Scope:

This role will be responsible for accurate and timely General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting, Ensuring Strong Control Environment and accurate Fixed Asset and Inventory Accounting.

Responsibilities:

Financial reporting as per US GAAP

Ensuring month-end close as per timelines and in accordance with Group accounting policies and procedures per US GAAP.

Review of journal entries pertaining to expense accruals, prepaid, payroll, commission etc and ensure correct supporting / explanations and then post them to Oracle GL.

Detailed Ledger scrutiny and GL management on a weekly / monthly basis.

Monthly review of Balance sheet and P&L before submitting to Corporate.

Prepare monthly reconciliations for Fixed assets, intangibles, equity, inventory including goods in transit, liabilities and related areas. Make sure any deviation from the accounting policy is captured and corrective actions are taken promptly.

Work with IT team to ensure issues concerning financial reporting / controls are closed in a timely manner.

Fixed Asset Accounting

Handling Fixed Assets accounting (capitalization / depreciation / retirement) for the legal entity.

Drive physical verification of Fixed assets working with various stakeholders and keep the records up to date based on the feedback.

Monitor the FA books, IB and exception reports to identify incorrect / stuck transactions and rectify them on a weekly basis.

Audits

Prepare Financial statement as per Ind AS by making necessary adjustments in the US GAAP schedules. Work with statutory auditors and ensure compliance with CARO, SCH III, Ind AS and other guidance related to financial reporting.

Prepare Schedules for Statutory, Tax Audit and Internal audits or any other review.

Review and provide details required by auditors by working with various stakeholders. Also project manage the audits so that information is provided in timely manner.

Provide relevant schedules / support and resolve queries raised by Statutory, Internal audit and any other reviewer or auditor.

Other areas

Design effective preventive controls in all the areas which have effect on financial reporting.

Monthly review of operating effectiveness of controls with necessary supporting.

Proactive review of controls in the fast-changing business environment to make sure that the organization has optimal level of controls in place.

Independently handle Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting and work with Global team to implement SOX controls in India.

Support the Business requirements.

Person Scope:

  • CA with minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Multinational Companies or Big4s.
  • Must have strong knowledge of IND AS / US GAAP/IFRS.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Oracle Payables and GL module is preferred or any other ERP.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good Analytical Skills, Attention to details and quick learner
