Accountant II

JOB DESCRIPTION

• General Ledger accounting: Overall GL responsibility of the accounting of the Indian Entities. Make sure that GL is up to date and all account values are supported by either sub administrations or by authorized documents and reconciliations.
• Process month close Accruals
• Preparation of journal entries according to the month end close schedule
• Assistance with variance analysis on a monthly basis
• Preparing Various Control sheet assisting in the reporting
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Involvement with statutory audits and internal audits
• Coordination with other teams on Special projects
• Fixed Asset Accounting
• Banking Experience wrt to processing payments, BRS, preparing Cash Flow statements, Liasioning with the banks on compliance documentation will be added advantage

Qualifications: B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA

Skills/Experience

• Experience with accounting software, preferably PeopleSoft
• 4-7 years of prior accounting experience
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Good written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
• Able to take up variety of complex tasks within area of responsibility, Demonstrates initiative & contributes to problem solving. Acts with independence and discretion in routine matters. Makes decisions that affect own work.
• Accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency. Actions and errors can have functional area impact
