Assists the Second Engineer with inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, drilling, and marine equipment aboard an offshore drilling vessel. Responsibilities include maintaining power, cooling, lubrication, fuel, and ballast systems; completing maintenance records; supporting safety, permit-to-work, isolation, emergency, and regulatory processes; coordinating materials and third-party equipment; participating in surveys; and mentoring the Motor Operator and maintenance crew.

Supervise and coordinate maintenance, repair, and safe operation of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power generation, cooling, lubrication, fuel, ballast, thruster, pump, and valve systems aboard an offshore drilling rig. The role manages permits, inspections, inventory, regulatory compliance, HSE processes, emergency response, maintenance records, crew training, and personnel development while supporting the First Engineer.
