The Major Account Executive will target and acquire new government accounts, develop strategies, and close long-cycle deals, particularly in cybersecurity and cloud solutions.

Serve as the primary technical strategist and customer advocate for premium accounts, partnering with sales and engineering to drive adoption, retention, and growth. Lead account teams, respond to escalations, advise on performance and security strategies (CDN, web security, DNS, HTTPS), and manage cross-functional programs and projects to deliver customer success and mitigate risks.

Sell Akamai services through partner ecosystem to Growth & Commercial customers across US and Canada. Build partner relationships, develop pipeline, execute business plans, drive cross-sell/upsell, align partner and internal sales teams, and collaborate with sales engineers, finance, and product to close consultative security and cloud-focused opportunities.
