What's the Work-Life Balance Like at Agero?
Frequently Asked Questions
Agero approaches workload and work-life balance through flexible work options, trust-based scheduling, wellbeing support and team practices that help employees stay connected while serving customers in moments that can be urgent and high-impact.
- Flexibility built around real life: Agero offers remote, hybrid and in-office opportunities, with flexibility designed to support employees across different locations and life responsibilities. A vice president of marketing said flexibility helps employees “show up fully, both at work and at home,” whether they are managing family schedules, caregiving needs or personal challenges. Employees also cite remote work, flexible hours and work-home balance as strengths.
- Trust and connection in a flexible workplace: Agero’s flexible model is supported by intentional team rhythms, including in-person collaboration days, team onsites and virtual connection practices. The company uses digital tools to keep work moving while preserving space for relationship-building. One employee said the flexibility makes it possible to work from home and still be effective, while in-person events help teams solve problems together and build stronger coworker relationships.
- Support during meaningful but demanding work: Agero’s work centers on helping drivers during roadside, accident and connected vehicle events, which can be stressful but helping to solve these solutions can be rewarding. An external reviewer in operations said connected vehicle accident calls can be “stressful but also rewarding,” while another said Agero focuses on “the good we do” more than what goes wrong. That sense of purpose helps balance the demands of customer-facing work (Indeed).
- Wellbeing and benefits that reinforce balance: Agero supports balance through flexible time off, mental health resources and wellness days. An employee said Agero promotes wellbeing beyond “what’s going on at your desk,” including mental wellness days that allow people to unplug. A senior manager of people operations also described Agero’s benefits approach as personalized for a geographically dispersed workforce.
- External signals:

Agero Employee Perspectives
What does flexibility in the workplace look like for you, and what practices/policies are in place that support it?
Flexibility for us means meeting our employees where it works best for their lives, while also expanding our talent footprint. Today, we’re proud to have team members all over the country. We offer complete flexibility in terms of working from home, at the office or a blend of both. For those who are local, many of us naturally come into the office every Wednesday; it’s become a great touchpoint for in-person collaboration and connection. Beyond that, we host a dedicated marketing onsite twice a year, where the entire team comes together for a week of skill-building, strategy sessions and team bonding. It’s the perfect balance of day-to-day flexibility and meaningful face-to-face time.
Why is flexibility an important element of Agero’s culture?
Flexibility is at the heart of our culture because it empowers people to show up fully, both at work and at home. As a mother of an elementary school child with a calendar packed with sports and after-school activities, juggling my work and home life has never been easier. I can make it to an evening soccer practice without having to sacrifice a late afternoon meeting. More importantly, I see how this flexibility supports my team as well. Whether it’s caring for a sick parent, managing home repairs or just needing a mental breather, everyone has the space to navigate life’s curveballs without compromising on productivity. It’s about trusting our people and respecting the realities of their lives.
What tools or meeting structures ensure that a flexible work setup works for everyone?
We’ve built a strong tool kit and rhythm to make our flexible environment work seamlessly. We use Zoom companywide, but we’ll also jump on Google Meet or Microsoft Teams when it fits the situation. For collaboration and project management, we rely on Slack, HubSpot, Jira and Trello to keep communication clear and projects moving forward. Every Monday, we kick off with a 30-minute all-marketing huddle to align for the week, and we keep momentum going with optional mid-week virtual coworking hours for casual brainstorming. And we always make space for connection beyond work with fun initiatives like Zoom exercise sessions to break up the week, “Photo Fridays” to share snapshots from our lives and other creative touchpoints that keep our culture vibrant and inclusive, no matter where you’re joining from.
