Tata Power, a subsidiary of Mumbai-based Tata Group, has the ability to generate 7,800 megawatts of electricity across its renewable energy portfolio, which includes 3,136 megawatts of solar capacity, 982 megawatts of wind capacity and 880 megawatts of hydropower capacity. It has also installed nearly 5,000 EV charging stations throughout the country.

 

Maxwell Energy Systems is a Mumbai company supporting the growth of the electric vehicle (EV) industry with battery management systems that monitor the performance, lifespan and safety of EV batteries. The company, which is a subsidiary of Mumbai startup Ion Energy, was acquired by automotive component company Endurance Systems in 2022.

 

SolarSquare is a Mumbai-based solar energy company that has installed rooftop solar systems for more than 10,000 homes, 100 apartment complexes and 200 commercial buildings. Founded in 2015, the company has raised venture capital to scale its business to more than 400 employees.

 

Oorjan is working to make it easier to adopt solar power systems. It also offers a remote monitoring system to calculate energy and cost savings.

The Mumbai-based company has installed 5 gigawatts of renewable energy as of 2023, and it aims to reach 30 gigawatts of energy capacity by 2030.
