Cyient Launches Semiconductor Subsidiary, Announces CEO

The subsidiary is expected to strengthen Cyient’s commitment to innovation across sectors.

Global engineering and technology solutions company Cyient has announced the launch of its new wholly owned subsidiary, Cyient Semiconductors, which will focus on providing end-to-end, application-specific integrated circuit solutions. 

Leveraging Cyient’s expertise in semiconductor design, the new subsidiary will help customers scale their ASIC and integrated circuit development efforts. According to a news release, Cyient Semiconductors has already established teams across India, the United States, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Taiwan.

“Our vision is to align Cyient's semiconductor capabilities with the national agenda set by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, aiming to build a robust semiconductor ecosystem in India. With the growing demand for high-performance semiconductor solutions, Cyient Semiconductors will play a crucial role in providing end-to-end ASIC turnkey and IC design services, supporting India's journey toward self-reliance in the semiconductor ecosystem,” Krishna Bodanapu, executive vice chairman and managing director of Cyient, said in a statement.

Along with the launch, Cyient also announced the appointment of Suman Narayan as CEO of Cyient Semiconductors.
