A pair of Mumbai-based fintech companies secured investments from Prosus, a global consumer internet group that backs tech ventures in India and other countries.

Prosus invested $100 million in Vastu Housing Finance, acquiring an 8.4 percent stake in the company, which specializes in digital-first lending. Vastu Housing Finance’s products help Indian consumers buy, renovate and construct homes. It also offers a variety of other financing options, such as car and commercial property loans.

Mintifi makes software that connects small- and medium-sized businesses across an array of industries with supply chain financing solutions. Prosus acquired a 10.65 percent stake in Mintifi with an investment of approximately $79.9 million.

Prosus made the investments in October 2024 and disclosed them in a half-year financial report released December 2.
